FAQs

What is your training?

I am working towards my master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. I obtained a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University. My coursework for both degrees emphasized family development using a social justice lens and working with youth and adolescents. I have also completed coursework including group therapy with adolescents and diagnosis and treatment of children.

What is your experience with children and teens?

My experience with children started when I was a child and volunteered with Special Olympics and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I completed an internship for my bachelor’s degree at Trillium Family Services creating group activities and collaborating with staff members on therapy worksheets. I also provided mentorship and promoted positive peer interactions while ensuring emotional and physical health.

What is the benefit of working with an intern?

Working with a graduate student intern brings fresh insight from the recent coursework completed. You will be working with somebody that is compassionate, engaged, and eager to learn and work alongside you through life’s challenges. I embrace a collaborative process and encourage clients to bring their ideas into the session!
